Beloved children of Jesus,
Today we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. He died for our sins and rose up on the third day. By His death and resurrection our death is cancelled. Therefore, we live in Christ forever.
In the Orthodox tradition we greet each other after resurrection by saying JESUS IS RISEN. And the response to the greeting is INDEED HE IS RISEN.
There is no fasting or lent for the next fifty days as we celebrate the risen Christ.
